While the general recommendation for peak seasons is 12 to 18 months, for Le Chateau de Rhodes specifically, it is best to book as early as possible, especially for summer rentals, as it is rented in its entirety by the week.

2. What is the maximum capacity of Le Chateau de Rhodes?

Le Chateau de Rhodes has 15 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, and it can sleep up to 30 people, with the possibility of extra beds for children.

3. What is the typical rental period and changeover day?

The château is generally rented in its entirety by the week from May through September (with heating oil being extra during winter rentals). The standard changeover day is Saturday.

4. How much does it cost to rent Le Chateau de Rhodes?

Rental prices fluctuate depending on the season. See our rate page for more information. In general, the rate is  weekly and is about €12,000 per week. Cleaning and security deposit is separate.

5. What is included in the rental price?

The rental price typically includes exclusive use of the entire château and its twenty-four acres of grounds for your stay. Linens and towels are provided. The property features a fully-equipped professional kitchen, and guests have access to the library, games rooms, billiard room, and an exercise room.

6. What are the payment and security deposit requirements?

A Security Deposit of €1500 is required, which is refunded upon departure assuming no damages. Our contract will stipulate payment options. There is a cleaning charge of €750 added to each stay as well.

7. What amenities are available on-site at Le Chateau de Rhodes?

The château is well-equipped with numerous luxury and entertainment facilities:

• Wellness: Heated indoor Jacuzzi, sauna, and a full gym with top-quality equipment and a yoga room.
• Recreation: Large swimming pool (heated in spring), hard surface tennis court, billiard room (antique pool table), table tennis, and boules.
• Rooms: Two very large reception rooms, library, cinema room, games room, and multiple dining areas (indoor/terrace dining for 30+).
• Other: Fiber Optic Wi-Fi is available, a well-stocked library, and bicycles for local trips.

8. Is Le Chateau de Rhodes suitable for children and families?

Yes, the property is described as a beautiful family home, and one review notes that the swimming pool was perfect for kids.  We have child-friendly amenities like cribs/high chairs as well.

9. Are pets allowed at Le Chateau de Rhodes?

Dogs are permitted on the grounds, but not inside the château.

10. Is the property accessible for guests with limited mobility?

We have some rooms on the ground floor and a limited mobility entrance.. As a historic property dating from 1760, you should contact the owners directly with your specific needs to confirm suitability before booking.

11. Can I get meals prepared during my stay?

Yes, you can rent the property self-catering or have all meals prepared by a chef.

• Chef Service: Dinner is offered at €28-€44 per person (children under 10 are half price). Continental breakfast is €14 per person. The on-site manager and his wife provide catering services.

12. Can I host an event like a wedding at Le Chateau de Rhodes?

The château is rented for  groups, weddings, and parties. You should contact the owners directly for details and pricing related to events.

13. What activities are available near the château?

The château is located in La Bastide-de-Sérou, near the Pyrenees Ariégeoises Regional Natural Park.

• On-site/Nearby: The owners can help organize mountain biking, white water rafting, hiking, massages, and yoga sessions. There is an 18-hole golf course a 5-minute drive away.
• Local Attractions: You can easily reach local villages, and day trips to Toulouse, Carcassonne, and ski resorts are possible.
